Children of Promise Ministries (CHIPROMS)
Children of Promise ministries (CHIPROMS) is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political childcare orphanage and transition home. We provide food, shelter, clothing, counseling, protection, and advocacy for motherless, orphans, displaced and vulnerable children within our community.
Our goal is to provide a home environment where care, love, education, and support are provided to the children, regardless of their background, ethnicity, or religion.
We operate an orphanage and transition home, develop advocacy and support programs for vulnerable children, and provide child care services as an auxiliary to government childcare services.
CHIPROMS has flourished for over 15years solely on the love and support from concerned independent individuals and bodies, we love you, the kids love you, and we all appreciate you
Where It Started
The vision to care for children was born out of Dayo & Tinu Idowu’s innate love for people. Seeing kids on the street and not being in school, children begging on the roadside or being used as child labour drew the emotions of the couple to decide on taking a positive step to help these children.
The Idowu’s purpose for this child rescue and mission work is not only to be a life changer but through their work, they wanted to be role models and an inspiration to many other citizens who are blessed to either start a program like this or to be encouraged to support existing organizations.
The Idowu’s goal is to challenge and inspire orphans and vulnerable children towards living a fulfilled life in Christ by nurturing them within a home environment. Many friends, families, and colleagues have come forward to support this vision.
