In order not to be totally reliant on gifts and donations that has its time and season, we choose to embark on crop planting and animal rearing. Food is very vital to our programs and our operations at CHIPROMS, Nigeria. We do not expect all our food and meat consumptions to be donated to us hence we have embarked on operating a small scale farming program that has been able to produce limited quantities of meat, vegetables and fruit supply to the home. This effort has been complementing our food supplies in the home. Occasionally, our children join the farm workers to assist them on the farm.
The farm also serves as a recreational ground for the children. They play and explore whenever they are on the farm. We gladly accept farm equipment’s, tools, and seeds for donation. From time to time, we are also in need of individuals who can give us their expertise on crop farming and animal rearing. Everything we grow on the farm is for the children and staff consumption.
